Hi I hope you can be of some help. I have had my tank for about 3 months now and in the beginning all seem to be fine. But for the last 2 weeks the nitrate has gone all the way up to 20 using a API test kit. I have always changed 10% of the water every week. 5 days ago I did a 20% change and today I did a 25% change. However, the nitrate is still the same. I always vacuum the front, but the tank has live rocks so I can't get to the very back. I did put a sand star fish in the tank and have seen him only once when I first put him in the tank . I think it was a day later or so. Could that be the problem? I am at a loss. I check the tank every day. Everything else seems to be ok. Thanks again! Hope to hear from you soon.
